I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience from my professional and personal life. I believe there is no better way to invest my time than to teach, mentor and guide children from all walks of life with the aim of helping them become better and more engaged human beings.

I have 18 years of adventure racing experience including Amazon’s 2019 Eco Challenge “The World’s Toughest Race” (currently airing on Amazon Prime), 2 time Adventure Racing World Championship competitor, winner of the 2022 24-hour Adventure Race Solo Championship, and winner of the 2018 USARA (US Adventure Racing Association) National Championship. I’ve participated in everything from 2 hr family adventure races with my children to 11 day expedition length races around the world. I’ve competed in adventure races on and off for the last 10 years and I have had my share of podium finishes. Adventure racing is a sport that combines many disciplines and forces you to rely on your teammates to get over that finish line,. With this program we will give your children the tools they need to be successful in the sport of adventure racing and in life.

Betsy Schultz

Assistant Coach

My name is Betsy Schultz and I’m an elementary school physical education teacher (My favorite thing to teach is teaching my students how to ride bikes safely!)

I played Division 1 college basketball and fill my time running, biking, hiking and spending as much time outside as I can. Love to travel and bike tour with my husband. Our favorite trip was 1,800 miles along the West Coast for 5 weeks biking & camping from Canada to Los Angeles.

I am the Vice President of FB4K (Free bikes for kids). This program is amazing because it works to provide bikes and new helmets to kids that don’t have them. We work with local community members to collect used bikes and then we repair them so they are ready for their new owners. Bikes provide so many opportunities for kids and it is so rewarding to help kids leave with a new set of wheels. New bike day is the best day and the smiles when a kid learns to ride on their own is amazing!
